Stuttgart - The Mercedes-Benz initiative for the further improvement of customer satisfaction and product quality is taking effect: according to a recent study by the market research institute J.D. Power and Associates in the USA, the satisfaction level of Mercedes new car customers has increased significantly since 2004. The passenger cars made by the Stuttgart-based brand are among the best in the US market.
During this regular satisfaction study, J.D. Power and Associates surveyed new car customers for any complaints they had within the first 90 days. The survey covered 135 individual criteria in nine categories.
For the 2005 customer satisfaction report, the American market researchers surveyed male and female drivers who had taken delivery of their new car in November and December 2004. It is only recently that the German motoring association ADAC in Germany established from its breakdown statistics that passenger cars bearing the Mercedes star are among the most reliable automobiles in three vehicle classes.
